Sr. Financial Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team on a 12 month Parental Leave contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will lead a small team and be responsible for core accounting activities including managing month end processes, balance sheet integrity as well as identification of process improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce coupled with CA/CPA qualifications
• Demonstrated minimum five years experience within a large, commercial environment and accounting team
• Demonstrated experience with rebate programs and payroll accounting will be advantageous
• People leadership experience in mentoring and developing junior Finance and Accounting staff
• Advanced skills in MS Excel
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise your work in an agile way
• A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on seeking out continuous improvement opportunities
