Medical Technologist II

Under direct supervision, a Medical Technologist (MT) is responsible for performing routine high complexity testing of biological specimens. MTs work in a team environment to ensure timely and quality test results.

Requirements

• Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and couriers to ensure quality service.
• Perform routine testing of biological samples and notifies appropriate personnel of any identified problems.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ensure donor, patient, and employee confidentiality.
• Operate equipment and monitor for errors and responds appropriately.
• Resolve routine problems and escalates non-routine issues when appropriate.
• Participate in performance improvement teams and training programs, as required.
• Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
