We are seeking a Lead Security Engineer to own and elevate security across our organization. You will be a hands-on technical leader and people manager responsible for designing, implementing, and operationalizing secure patterns across our AWS platform, Kubernetes environments, and release pipelines; while also maintaining breadth across application security, IAM, SecOps/IR, compliance, and data privacy.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing security engineering teams of 5 or more
- 8+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering roles.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS and cloud security services.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code with a track record of implementing security controls via code.
- Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms and container security frameworks.
- Proficient in modern programming languages (Typescript, Python, Go,Kotlin) with ability to build security automation and tooling for cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with CI/CD security, secure pipeline design, and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong understanding of network security fundamentals, IAM, zero-trust principles, and cloud security architecture.
- Experience operating in regulated environments (fintech, payments, financial services) strongly preferred.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a history of influencing cross-functional engineering outcomes.
