Job Description
Process Technician duties include operating waste water management plants, executing laboratory tests, and enforcing health and safety regulations. They also participate in daily meetings, train and supervise crew members, and maintain technical equipment.
Requirements
- Continuous operation of waste water management plant
- Safe operation, maintenance and repair of waste water management plants
- Executing laboratory tests of waste water samples
- Compliance with all relevant flag state and class as well as other applicable regulations
- Close communication and reporting to all stakeholders and superiors
- Training, guidance and supervision of all subordinated crewmembers
- Organizing and Performing of maintenance as per requirement of PMS for the assigned sub-department
- Entries into relevant logs as per legislation and the requirements of the ship owner
- Fulfilment of responsibilities from the Environmental Compliance Plan
- Ensure efficient operation of technical equipment
- Comply with QMS and LMS requirements
- Supports planning/ evaluation of dry docks and external repair/ service activities
- Supports an effective and sustainable health and safety culture and environment on board
