Job Description
This position is responsible for developing relationships with stakeholders, providing assistance to claimants, and determining benefits under the EEOICPA program. The role involves guiding claimants through the claim filing process, researching and gathering work history and medical records, and informing individuals of available resources. The Medical Claims Specialist will also maintain industry knowledge, assist in identifying efficiencies, and maintain contact with health service agencies.
Requirements
- High school Diploma or GED
- At least two (2) years of related program or clinical/medical experience and/or training
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred, but not required
- At least one (1) year of specific DOL EEOICPA program experience
