Job Description
We are looking for a System Administrator to support IT solutions developed for the European Commission – DG JRC. The role contributes to systems supporting the EU Common Fisheries Policy, including platforms used to collect, process, and manage fisheries data from EU Member States.
Requirements
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and Windows workstations
- Perform system patching and operating system upgrades
- Manage Docker-based container environments
- Administer systems supporting databases, web applications, and data collection
- Monitor system logs, performance, and storage
- Manage backup and restore operations
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support to users
- Develop basic automation scripts
- Maintain technical documentation and asset inventory
- Collaborate with developers, ICT teams, and project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
