Associate Producer, Entertainment & Culture

Crooked Media is seeking an Associate Producer to support the Programming department, focusing on guest-driven segments and short-form video clips for entertainment and culture podcasts. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping audiences understand news and politics, and their intersection with culture.

Requirements

• At least 1+ year of news, editorial, radio, or podcast production
• Demonstrated experience working under tight deadlines
• Exceptional copy editing and research skills
• Understanding of journalism and journalistic ethics
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Knowledge of ProTools, Adobe Audition, or other audio editing software is a plus
• Experience managing the booking process for a weekly show
• Strong editorial judgment about the news that matters
• A self-motivated, proactive, creative, accountable, and nice attitude
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
