Job Description
This part-time music instructor position at the Whiting Family YMCA in Whiting, IN supports the Y's mission to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The instructor will lead event activities, create educational experiences, and provide excellent customer service to members, guests, and program participants.
Requirements
- Minimum age 16 required
- Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends
- Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED & First Aid, New Employee Orientation, and online trainings
- Required trainings: Duty to Report and Keeping your YMCA Safe
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to relate and communicate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- Must have a passion for working with young children
