Job Description
The Assistant Production Manager oversees performance, output, and safety during an assigned shift, reporting to the Production Manager and ensuring smooth, high-volume production in a clean, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, Operations, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in laundry, manufacturing, logistics, commercial, warehouse or distribution operations
- Strong understanding of production metrics (e.g. PPOH), cost control, and workflow optimization
- Experience in high-volume, time-sensitive environments (e.g. logistics, 3PL, commercial laundry, or manufacturing)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-builder with a hands-on leadership style
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or production tracking tools
