Field Certification Engineer - Hazardous Locations

CSA Group has an immediate opening for a Field Certification Engineer (Hazardous Locations) to join their North American Field Certification team. The role involves travel, on-site evaluations, field testing, and making compliance decisions for products ranging from small batches of control panels to large, complex assemblies or manufactured skids.

Requirements

• Post Secondary Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related Sciences
• Ability to travel as needed with short notice (up to 75% travel)
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and changing schedules and deadlines with supervision
• Strong conflict resolution skills to be able to handle difficult situations
• Experience with U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards
• Familiar with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test data
• Knowledge of electrical test equipment
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong interpersonal skills; self-starter; good decision-making skills and organizational skills
• A valid driver's license is required
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
• Must be able to pass site-specific training and certification
