Electrical systems engineer

Electrical Systems Engineer to provide expert engineering oversight and technical advice across capital works, maintenance, operational activities and formal change management at the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP) high-containment facility in Geelong. The role involves delivering practical, cost-effective solutions that support the safe operation and ongoing integrity of the facility.

Requirements

• Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (electrical or electronic) from a recognised tertiary educational institution, together with eligibility for professional membership of the Institute of Engineers, Australia.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience in report and documentation writing.
• Significant experience in design, development installation, commissioning and/or servicing of electrical systems, process instrumentation and controls gained in a heavy industrial, process industry, building services, or manufacturing plant environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to HS&E, safe working practices, including access permit procedures.
• Proven competence in the application of Risk Management techniques.
• A sound understanding of plant diagnostics and maintenance methods.
• Experience in project management.
