Native Kanuri Cryptologic Linguist

CTC Group is seeking Kanuri Operational Language Analysts - Native Capability, levels 1-4, to provide native language and cultural expertise while performing tasks required to process voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations.

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend written and/or spoken material in the required language that includes references and vocabulary related to common social situations and everyday life in countries where the language is widely spoken
• Sufficient English skills to render the main points of straightforward, factual materials in the required language into English with a reasonable degree of accuracy
• Ability to comprehend written and/or spoken standard and substandard contemporary forms of the required language including complex grammar and syntax
• Ability to comprehend material in the required language that includes idioms, colloquialisms, subtleties and nuances, emotions and attitudes
• Ability to produce accurate translations of complex material from the required language into idiomatic American English
• Analyze and interpret language materials to identify relevant intelligence information
• Render translations and/or transcripts based on straightforward, factual written and/or spoken material
• Translating and/or transcribing complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material
• Gisting complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material
• Performing quality control review of translations and transcripts of complex and sophisticated written and spoken material
