Stobart, a leading ambient transport and logistics business, is seeking a Transport Planner to join its Transport Team for its Retail sector at the Goole Customer site. As a Transport Planner, you will contribute to the success of the transport team and be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation.
Requirements
- Work with Transport and Warehouse teams to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
- Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period.
- Subcontract and plan orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
- Plan daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases.
- Report problems and deal with issues and any queries that may arise.
- Plan approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis.
- Maintain and exceed agreed KPI’s.
- Proactively look for continuous improvements.
- Make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year.
- Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook.
- Experience of planning units across multiple depots.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
- Customer focus on delivery performance.
- Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
- Experience of using a TMS system.
- Experience in an FMCG environment.
- Strong analytical and excel capability across standard formulas.
