The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the cost accounting function, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting. The role requires a strong background in cost accounting, leadership, and analytical skills, with a focus on driving cost awareness, efficiency, and profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
- 7 years of cost accounting experience in a complex manufacturing environment
- 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience highly preferred but not required
- Familiarity with inventory and warehouse management including cycle count
- Experience with standard costing systems and variance analysis
- Experience or ability to develop capability to extract ERP financial information (Infor Syteline ideally, or similar)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives
- Capability or desire to develop ability to present to senior management
- Flexible in task assignments / ability to work across departmental lines
- Ability to travel up to 10%
