Manager Cost Accounting

The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the cost accounting function, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting. The role requires a strong background in cost accounting, leadership, and analytical skills, with a focus on driving cost awareness, efficiency, and profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
• 7 years of cost accounting experience in a complex manufacturing environment
• 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience highly preferred but not required
• Familiarity with inventory and warehouse management including cycle count
• Experience with standard costing systems and variance analysis
• Experience or ability to develop capability to extract ERP financial information (Infor Syteline ideally, or similar)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives
• Capability or desire to develop ability to present to senior management
• Flexible in task assignments / ability to work across departmental lines
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Must be a US Citizen
