As a Mechanical Designer, you will gain comprehensive exposure to HVAC and plumbing system design, including performing engineering calculations, developing technical specifications, and applying building codes with an advanced understanding of compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher education in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of job-related experience
- Intermediate knowledge of Autodesk MEP Revit, Auto CADD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
- Ability to design plumbing system for a small to medium size project under minimal guidance from professional engineer from start to finish
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, such as VAV systems, VRF systems, and Package rooftop systems
- Working knowledge of hydronic pipe sizing, pump selection, duct sizing and fan selection
- Working knowledge of hydronic heating system design and chilled water-cooling system design
- Working knowledge of digital temperature control systems
- Proficient using a heating and cooling load software such as Trane Trace
- Excellent working knowledge of plumbing systems, such as domestic hot & cold-water systems, natural gas, and waste and vent systems
- Working knowledge of pipe sizing and layout of plumbing systems
- Ability to collaborate and efficiently work on a team to produce high quality construction documents for projects
- Basic knowledge of Plumbing and Mechanical Building Codes
- High level of Quality control and ability to correct design issues
