Lead Operating Engineer

Role Overview

Responsible for ensuring the proper and efficient operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for assigned facilities. Typically, this position does not have a Chief Engineer on-site and may be the solo engineer at the building. Supervises maintenance staff when applicable.

What You Will Do

Assist with or conduct daily operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Supervise maintenance staff, perform preventive maintenance duties, and recommend improvements to the preventive maintenance program.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 5+ years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting
• Appropriate license/permit for trade
• Valid "Universal" level certification for CFC and HFC based refrigerants
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word
• Experience in operation, maintenance, and basic repair of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems, etc.
