Operating Engineer

Role Overview

Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for assigned properties. This includes maintaining a clean and safe working environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, and performing day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance.

What You Will Do

Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements, maintain heating equipment, monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, verify field conditions, and perform repairs or adjustments. Also, perform energy management, general repairs, and preventive maintenance duties.

Requires technical proficiency, initiative, flexibility, multi-tasking, and a sense of urgency. Must have 5+ years of related work experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Possess a valid driver's license and basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting
• Appropriate license/permit for trade (e.g. Journeyman or Master Electrician License)
• Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC's (depending on market licensure requirements)
• Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word
