Operating Engineer

Role Overview

Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for assigned properties. This includes maintaining a clean and safe working environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, and performing day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance.

What You Will Do

Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements, maintain heating equipment, monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, verify field conditions, and perform repairs or adjustments. Also, perform preventive maintenance duties, inspect engine room equipment, and check emergency exit signs and lights.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred
• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required
• Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC's depending on market licensure requirements
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word
