Job Description
The Machine Shop Lead is responsible for ensuring production is executed in a timely manner and within quality parameters. This position requires effective teamwork, clear communication, documentation, and maintaining production efficiency.
Requirements
- Performs all tasks in a safe & responsible manner;
- Responsible for the monitoring of performance of all employees in the assigned work cells within the Machine Shop department;
- Maintains work flow and ensures the availability of proper work instructions, drawing, materials, tools, fixtures, calibrated inspection gauges and equipment;
- Recommends product, tooling, and other departmental improvements;
- Recommends traveler changes and performs troubleshooting;
- Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned;
