Job Description
CMS Corporation is seeking a Site Superintendent/Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) with at least ten years of construction experience, with five years in site leadership. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing safety procedures, coordinating subcontractor activities, and ensuring compliance with project safety regulations. They will work closely with the Project Manager and work zone team. The SSHO oversees all work site safety and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or Associate’s/High School diploma with leadership experience)
- 10 years of construction experience
- 5 years of site leadership
- Completion of EM 385-1-1 requirements
- Completion of OSHA and Contract Safety Awareness courses
- 24 hours of formal safety training per year for the last 5 years
- CHST, CSP, or STS certifications are a plus
