Responsible for acquiring materials and documents to fulfill requests for purchases, including preparing requests for quotes and handling inquiries about orders.
Requirements
- Previous parts purchasing experience
- Strong time management skills
- Extremely detail oriented and accurate
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Set priorities and adapt to changing work priorities while meeting deadlines and schedules
- Proficient on a computer and can learn new programs quickly. Must be able to use Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must be able to work independently and create innovative solutions to problems with minimal direction from supervisors.
- A positive attitude and willingness to maintain a professional demeanor with clients and team members.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- High school diploma or the equivalent
