Medical Scribe

The Medical Scribe role at Oak Street Health supports primary care providers with clinical documentation to focus on exceptional patient care. Scribes assist with patient care journeys, clinical documentation, and become experts in value-based care and ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications
• Prior clinical experience, including shadowing and/or volunteering
• Prior scribe or transcription experience
• Advanced listening and communication skills
• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new technical workflows
• Ability to adapt to new workflows and to quickly learn new concepts and skills
• Ability to type 70+ words per minute
• Ability and willingness to take direction and be a member of a team providing patient care
• Ability to be a self-starter within your role scope
• Excellent job attendance
• Ability to commit to at least 1 year in role
• US work authorization
