Plasma Operator

This role involves operating a plasma cutter to cut raw materials like steel plates, extrusions, and ornamental metal. Responsibilities include material delivery, machine operation, nesting program matching, accurate project completion, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.

Requirements

• Locate and ensure correct material is delivered to work center.
• Ensure machine is working properly (plasma heads level, coolant adequate, consumables in good condition).
• Ensure appropriate nesting program is delivered and matched to print.
• Accurately project completion of work orders.
• Complete assignments on-time and correctly.
• Ensure jobs are staged correctly after completion.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Ensure vacuum table and dust collector are working properly.
• Empty dust collector as necessary.
• Notify Supervisor when slats on the table need to be replaced.
