Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC) is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to building a resilient, equitable East New York. Through a portfolio of programs—including affordable housing development, foreclosure prevention, first‑time homebuyer and tenant counseling, youth and adult community organizing, after‑school enrichment, career readiness, college access, ESL, and GED instruction—CHLDC serves over 8,000 residents annually. The organization distinguishes itself by integrating housing advocacy with comprehensive educational and economic empowerment initiatives, all led by local residents and guided by a commitment to racial equity.
We are seeking part-time Group Leaders for our Youth and Family Services Elementary and Middle school After School programs. The Group Leader will plan and implement educational, recreational, and arts activities with school-aged children, build positive relationships with participants, and foster their development. The position is hourly and varies by program and schedule.
