Job Description
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a leading healthcare nonprofit organization seeking a Research Associate, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Genomics to conduct laboratory functions under general supervision of the Head of NGS and Genomics. The role involves working as part of a team in the operation of the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Genomics laboratory to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
- Nucleic acid extraction and QC.
- Manipulation of DNA (PCR, Electrophoresis, etc.).
- NGS library preparation.
- Operation and maintenance of NGS instrumentation.
- Troubleshooting and Quality Control of library construction and sequencing runs.
- Participate in group meetings for discussion of data and suggested next steps.
- Maintain detailed records of the work carried out (electronic lab notebook).
- Prepare and present results at internal meetings.
