Job Description
Dailymotion is seeking a Staff Engineer - Tech Lead to lead the technical strategy and execution for internal tools migration and legacy system transition. The role will involve leading a squad of backend engineers, defining technical strategy, and driving technical vision for legacy modernization.
Requirements
- Extensive years of backend engineering experience with Python and PHP
- Some years in technical leadership roles, leading engineering teams or complex projects
- Proven experience in large-scale system migration and legacy modernization projects
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems design
- Strong expertise in API design patterns, RESTful services, and backward compatibility
- Experience with authentication/authorization systems (OAuth, JWT, RBAC)
- Experience with database migration strategies and data modeling
- Strong system architecture and technical decision-making capabilities
