Metrology Engineer position responsible for facilitating metrology from a technical perspective for all powertrain components. Design, set up, execute, and problem-solve high-precision measurements. Apply mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering principles to develop products, components, and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science Engineering, or related fields (ABET Accredited University)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience with component design principles, statistical analysis, process control, and tools such as GD&T, SPC, and 3D modeling
- 3+ years in using CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, or AutoCAD)
- 2+ years working with automotive manufacturing processes, design tolerances, and quality assurance requirements
- Evidence of metrology and measurement experience
- Evidence of technical product knowledge in axles, electric axles, diesel engines, and transmissions
- Proficient in technical reports and written procedures
- 3+ years of experience in analyzing test results and identifying and solving the root cause of complex problems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and inform management of any barriers
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Technical and digital proficient PC skills including MS Office and database tools
- Strong mathematical, mechanical and systematic aptitude to be able to work across various engineering disciplines
- Self-motivated and driven proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges
