Job Description
We are looking to hire a Senior Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS) with 10+ years of professional experience to lead surveying projects, supervise teams, and ensure accuracy and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Massachusetts.
- 10+ years of professional land surveying experience in civil/site development or related sectors.
- Experience managing survey field crews and office staff.
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and travel to various project sites as required.
- Experience in complex site development, infrastructure, or institutional projects.
- Knowledge of 3D laser scanning, drone surveying, or photogrammetry.
- Experience mentoring and developing survey teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Familiarity with permitting and land use processes in Massachusetts and New England.
- Advanced experience integrating survey data into BIM or GIS platforms.
- Prepare, review, and approve survey deliverables, including plats, easement exhibits, legal descriptions, CAD drawings, and GIS data.
- Coordinate with engineers, landscape architects, planners, and clients to integrate survey data into design, permitting, and construction workflows.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources for surveying activities.
