Job Description
Armed Security Officer will provide a safe and secure campus environment for students, staff, and visitors by preventing and detecting criminal activity and safety hazards, and assisting with restraining and apprehending individuals.
Requirements
- Valid Texas Peace Officer License issued by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCOLE)
- Honorably retired as a Texas peace officer within the preceding two (2) years (preferred)
- Ability to perform responsibilities with minimum supervision
- Ability to de-escalate conflict situations
- Ability to effectively interface with students, parents, and all levels of District personnel in writing and verbally
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) (preferred)
