Job Description
The Media Specialist will lead the library/media center and programs, providing services and resources to students to develop 21st century skills. They will engage learners through print and digital resources, and serve as a teacher, materials expert, and curriculum adviser to ensure the library/media center is integrated into instructional programs.
Requirements
- Provide group instruction and individual guidance to students
- Prepare strategic plans to meet School Library Programs: Standards and Guidelines for Texas
- Consult with teachers on material use and scheduling
- Supervise Media Assistant(s) and student aides
- Maintain a balanced and organized collection of library resources
