Job Description
The Mate is responsible for the safety and welfare of the vessel, its crew, and tow while acting as Captain in times of incapacitation. This role involves log management, entry of crew changes, updating charts, and ensuring the vessel is in compliance with regulations. The Mate is a critical part of the vessel's safety and operational continuity.
Requirements
- U.S. Coast Guard Mate Pilot of Towing license endorsement or better
- 3-5 years' experience operating a tugboat
- Valid radar observer license
- Valid MMC, Coast Guard Medical Certificate & TWIC
