Maintenance Manager

Role Overview

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant equipment and infrastructure at the Moorefield, Ontario rendering facility. This role leads the Maintenance department, oversees preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and ensures adherence to Ontario's regulatory, environmental and quality compliance requirements.

What You Will Do

Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and direction to the Maintenance Supervisor and all Maintenance team members. Conduct daily plant walkthroughs, ensure effective communication within the department, and conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews.

Requirements

• University degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or College diploma/technology certification in a related discipline
• Relevant trade certification (Millwright, Electrician, Steamfitter/Pipefitter, Machinist, Tool & Die)
• Minimum 3-5 years of Maintenance Manager or equivalent leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in rendering, food processing, or related high-compliance environments
• Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills
• Strong coaching/mentoring skills to assist with staff development
• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Computer competency including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
