Global Head of Technical Scale and Strategy (Field Engineering)

Databricks is seeking a Global Head of Technical Scale and Strategy (FE) to drive the scaling of their Field Engineering organization. This role will define and execute strategies around technical leadership, operational modeling, strategic planning, and leveraging AI to enhance team efficiency and impact. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on strategist focused on a high-impact role, deeply embedded in the technical heart of field engineering.

Requirements

• Deep technical understanding of field engineering organizations, enterprise solutions, and technology strategy.
• 10+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, or technical leadership in high-growth technology companies.
• Proven ability to define strategy and execute at scale in complex technical organizations.
• Experience running centralized technical or operational functions and influencing distributed teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and experimental mindset.
• Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and influence skills.
