Senior Software Engineer - Distributed Data Systems

Databricks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Vancouver, Canada. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of production-level experience in Java, Scala, or C++, a strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, and experience with distributed systems, databases, and big data systems. The candidate will be responsible for delivering customer value and impact, working towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.

Requirements

• BS (or higher) in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of production level experience in either Java, Scala or C++
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures and their real-world use cases
• Experience with distributed systems, databases, and big data systems (Apache SparkTM, Hadoop)
