Linux System Engineer

Your tasks

• Operation and maintenance of our server infrastructure
• Analysis of security vulnerabilities, coordination of countermeasures
• Care of our TLS certificates and private certificate authority
• Further development and optimization of our processes in the areas of automation, network, platform, applications, and data management
• Maintenance and expansion of our infrastructure monitoring and reporting (e.g. Icinga, Splunk, etc.)
• Commissioning and maintenance of new technologies (e.g. load balancer, image registry, build pipelines)
• Automation and optimization of our IT infrastructure (e.g. AWX, Ansible, GitLab-CI, CMDB, etc.)
• Analysis and resolution of problem situations
• Active participation in the annual PCI DSS audit

Your qualifications

• Higher technical education or comparable experience in the field of computer science or IT security
• Professional experience as a Linux System Engineer
• In-depth knowledge of Linux-based operating systems (RHEL, CentOS or Ubuntu)
• Experience with Git
• In-depth knowledge of networks
• Great interest in new technologies and willingness to follow the development of these technologies continuously
• Analytical and conceptual skills as well as systematic approach
• Willingness for on-call duties
• Good German and English skills in writing and speaking
