As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain the physical integrity of the community by ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
- Diagnose and perform minor or routine preventative maintenance or repair on all units and equipment
- Remove and transfer heavy appliances and equipment from storage area to apartment (or vice versa) as circumstances warrant
- Inspect and help coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services of apartments after move out
- Use expert knowledge to abide by pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials
- Create and assist with work orders to ensure they are completed in a timely manner
- Schedule vendors and contractors/responsible for curb appeal
- Ensure all amenities and grounds are finished and ready for review
- Walk move-outs to assess damages/issues and reports results to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Two or more years of experience in related field
- EPA, OSHA, Fair Housing, and pool certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to use good judgment and possess strong problem-solving skills
- Works as part of a team, as well as completes assignments independently
- Ability to operate a computer, phone system and general office equipment
- Must be able to take calls for emergency requests
- Must have a valid driver’s license and daily transportation for getting supplies and other duties
- May need to drive a golf cart
