Environmental Science Intern

Role Overview

DAWSON is seeking an Environmental Science Intern to support our growing environmental team in executing technical consulting work throughout the United States. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience across a variety of environmental projects and regulatory programs.

What You Will Do

The selected candidate will work closely with Project Managers and senior technical staff to support environmental reporting, field tasks, project coordination, and data collection activities. This role is ideal for someone interested in building experience in environmental consulting while learning from multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Current pursuit of or recent completion of a BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Chemistry, or a related field
• 0–4 years of experience supporting environmental projects, internships, or academic fieldwork
• Interest in environmental consulting and supporting geographically dispersed environmental investigations and compliance projects
• Familiarity with environmental regulations or coursework related to CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, CAA, and CWA
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard business software
• Ability to prepare clear written documentation and communicate effectively with project teams
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be capable of accessing Government properties based upon a background check
• Current OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training is preferred
