Senior Cloud Engineer

Dayforce is a global human capital management (HCM) company seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure. The role involves automating cloud operations, managing infrastructure as code, and collaborating with development, security, and operations teams to enable reliable cloud-native solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field(or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience working in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or DevOpsroles
• Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)principles
• Proficiency with GitHub for source control, including experience with Git workflows and GitHub Actions
• Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS or Azure), including architecture, provisioning, and operations
• Deep understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture best practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and configuration management tools
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and orchestration
• Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL)— including configuration, backup, performance tuning, and integration in cloud environments
• Strong working knowledge of Linux system administration, including shell scripting, package management, and performance troubleshooting
