Job Description
Dayforce is a global human capital management (HCM) company seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with Terraform, AWS, and Azure, and a strong understanding of cloud architecture best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience working in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
- Proficiency with GitHub for source control, including experience with Git workflows and GitHub Actions
- Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS or Azure), including architecture, provisioning, and operations
- Deep understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture best practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and configuration management tools
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and orchestration
- Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL)— including configuration, backup, performance tuning, and integration in cloud environments
- Strong working knowledge of Linux system administration, including shell scripting, package management, and performance troubleshooting
