Specialist, Data Quality

This role contributes to the strategy & roadmap of the data quality program at Definity, developing plans to promote Definity's data quality capabilities and working with business partners to identify & prioritize data quality challenges.

Requirements

• University degree required, Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or other Technology field preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality or Data Analysis (insurance/financial services industry preferred)
• Experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
• Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and best practices for data quality
• Exposure to Data Governance or Data Quality tools (such as Collibra, IBM IIS, Informatica, etc.) and working knowledge of Big Data, Data Lakes
• Experience with data profiling or defining data quality rules is an asset
• 1-2 years of SQL
• Ability to communicate with business & technology partners up to Director level
• Strong stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, sense of urgency, and commitment to deadlines
