Audio Capture Experience Engineer

Delart is seeking an Audio Capture Experience Engineer to play a pivotal role in advancing product variants developed from reference designs. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical engineering, acoustics, or a related field, and experience with acoustic measurement systems, MATLAB, and Python. The role involves evaluating mic array designs, collecting acoustic transfer function data, and executing verification and validation protocols on prototypes.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience with acoustic measurement systems like HATS, anechoic chambers, and microphone calibration
• 3+ years of experience with MATLAB and/or Python for acoustic data processing and analysis
• Profound understanding of microphone array theory, transfer functions, room acoustics, and sound field concepts
• Knowledge of MEMS microphone specifications, including sensitivity, SNR, frequency response, and matching tolerances
• Proficiency in signal processing fundamentals, such as FFT, filtering, impulse response analysis, and dB/SPL concepts
• Familiarity with DSP fundamentals including biquad filters and frequency domain analysis
• Strong lab discipline, with strict adherence to standard operating procedures, measurement repeatability, and comprehensive documentation
• Demonstrated communication skills for reporting technical results to engineering stakeholders
