As a Category Buyer at DEME Group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for a defined set of commodities within a specific procurement category.
Requirements
- Develop and manage a network of reliable and financially stable suppliers;
- Develop category strategy and identify opportunities for optimizing the supply chain process;
- Manage relationships with various internal stakeholders (business units, projects, etc.) and participate in cross functional teams that work on sourcing projects and continuous improvement;
- Manage and guide high value purchases and strive for TCO reductions;
- Ensure internal/external compliance with sourcing procedures and contracts;
- Take the lead in negotiating, drafting and maintaining sourcing contracts, service level agreements, price lists, etc.;
- Ensure standards for price competitiveness, product quality, delivery performance, safety and sustainability are met by all suppliers and corrective actions are initiated when needed;
- Perform root cause analysis towards re-occurring supply issues and take the lead in initiating corrective actions towards structural operational issues;
