As a Technical Vessel Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the profitability, efficiency, and long-term reliability of your assigned vessels. You will work closely with technical and operational teams to develop maintenance plans and achieve project goals.
Requirements
- Take ownership of the technical management of your vessels, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Challenge technical execution, decision-making, and processes — continuously striving for improvement and operational excellence.
- Be accountable for the profit and loss of your vessels, optimizing revenue, utilization, and maintenance with a strategic, long-term mindset.
- Define and implement a long-term maintenance strategy in collaboration with the Master and Chief Engineer.
- Oversee and manage Maintenance Intervention Projects, led by the Fleet Intervention Project Manager.
- Act as the primary liaison for Technical Engineering, Fleet Interventions, and Reliability Engineering, fostering effective collaboration and best-practice sharing across the fleet.
- Oversee and manage the maintenance budget for each vessel.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations related to vessel operations and safety.
- Visit vessels regularly to ensure alignment, build strong relationships with onboard teams, and maintain operational oversight.
