Job Description
The State of Connecticut, Department of Developmental Services (DDS), is recruiting for anticipated Lifeguard positions across Connecticut for our summer programs.
Requirements
- Will be at least 18 years old by the start of the season.
- Are or will be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid by position start date.
- Possess certification in the following: Lifesaving from a national accredited organization (i.e. American Red Cross, YMCA, Ellis & Associates, etc.).
- Are able to work for the full season including completion of all required DDS training.
- Possess and can maintain adequate physical flexibility, strength and stamina to perform the duties (work outside in inclement weather, work outside for extended periods), and work well with other staff and campers.
- Must be able to lift and transfer equipment, boats and individuals.
