Job Description
The Support Worker - Augusta Lodge, Mayo role offers a fantastic opportunity to be a member of a multi-disciplined team using holistic approaches to support Depaul service users. The role involves working within the principal of harm minimisation, ensuring a high degree of care, support, and dignity for residents. This includes encouraging service users to develop skills in managing their daily living, carrying out project administration tasks, and ensuring Health and Safety standards are met within the project.
Requirements
- At least 1 year's experience working in the homelessness field or another suitably related area
- Relevant qualification in the social care field (Level 5 and above)
- Good standard of education
- Experience of service user activity planning
- Experience of lone working or off-site working
- Understanding of enduring mental health issues and their impact on individuals
- Good working knowledge of risk assessment processes and systems
- Ability to work as part of a team and understand the importance of team communication
- Understanding of Health and Safety requirements within a residential setting working with homeless people
- Knowledge and understanding of the vision, mission, and values of Depaul
