Job Description
Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and lead/direct staff in the delivery of direct resident care.
Requirements
- Assess the overall status of residents and document in the medical record
- Monitor residents' activity and provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Communicate with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Lead and monitor licensed personnel and other staff
- Schedule job assignments and duties
- Monitor the environment and care practices for compliance with established programs
- Develop and implement written care plans for individual residents
- Delegate duties to nursing personnel
- Make daily rounds to ensure nursing staff are performing duties in accordance with protocol
