We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our DigiHub MARE team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for improving the delivery pipeline end-to-end, building and maintaining GitLab CI pipelines, supporting containerized workloads with Docker & Kubernetes, and strengthening observability with Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK. You will work closely with experienced engineers, take ownership of your topics, and continuously optimize processes, especially where manual work can be replaced by smart automation.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable technical field, or equivalent practical experience in software engineering, DevOps or cloud engineering.
- Several years of professional experience (typically 2–5 years) in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering or a similar role working with modern cloud-based systems.
- Practical experience working with at least one major cloud provider such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, ideally Terraform and an understanding of automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Experience working with container technologies and orchestration platforms, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support automated build and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging and observability tools, ideally including Prometheus, Grafana or similar technologies.
- Understanding of modern DevOps practices, including automation, collaboration between development and operations teams and continuous delivery principles.
- Ability to work effectively in agile and cross-functional teams, with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and improve engineering practices.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to share knowledge and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Speak English language (B2 - Upper Intermediate), German language (Advantage)
