M365 Front-end Developer, Web Publisher job summary: We are seeking a mid-level M365 Front-End Developer / Web Publisher to support Operations and Maintenance activities for a component of a federal agency. This role supports internal and external websites using Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Drupal, and related technologies. The selected candidate will join a collaborative team of developers, analysts/testers, and web publishers supporting mission-critical government websites and applications.
Requirements
- Provide development, operations, and maintenance support for SharePoint Online (M365) intranet environments
- Support requirements gathering, documentation, and customer demonstrations
- Publish and maintain content on public-facing (Drupal) and intranet (M365) websites
- Provide testing support for monthly release deployments, including unit, regression, and accessibility testing
- Support short turnaround publishing requests in a deadline-driven environment
- Participate in an on-call rotation (~1 week per month) to provide after-hours emergency publishing support (approximately 4–5 calls per month)
- Troubleshoot site issues in coordination with platform engineers and Microsoft support
- Monitor Microsoft Message Center for platform updates and changes
- Define and validate acceptance criteria for website features
- Provide solution recommendations during team and client meetings
- Collaborate with external agencies on U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) features and releases
- Maintain compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements
