Job Description
Devoted Studios is a globally remote game development company seeking a Technical UI Designer to work on UI features and animations in Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate has experience implementing UI in a shipped game, strong animation sensibility, and a portfolio demonstrating shipped UI work.
Requirements
- Build, implement, and polish UI features and systems using Unreal Engine, UMG, and Blueprints
- Own UI animation β motion design, transitions, reactive states, and feel β from concept through final implementation
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, UI artists, and engineers to bring features from spec to shipping
- Diagnose and resolve UI performance issues; contribute to reducing technical debt in existing systems
- Create and maintain reusable UI components and documentation that other designers can build on
- Iterate fast based on feedback from leads and QA β shipping quality on a live-service cadence
