Microbiologist 2

We are seeking a Microbiologist II to independently perform microbiological testing, lead investigations, and ensure compliance of microbiology laboratory and environmental monitoring programs. As a Microbiologist II, you will coordinate environmental monitoring programs, conduct laboratory testing, and execute activities supporting laboratory upkeep and environmental monitoring. You will also coordinate testing with contract laboratories, manage laboratory inventory, and support cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and quality initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology, Biology or related field
• 2-5 years of related experience
• Experience in monitoring of environmental systems (i.e. HVAC, Cleanroom, Compressed Air, Compressed Gases, Water)
• Industry experience in medical, biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical or similar environment is preferred
• Knowledge of 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, US and EU Pharmacopeia <85>, <161>, AAMI/TIR 52, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 10993, 14644, 11737, 14971, and other risk guidance standards is preferred
• Experience in maintaining, supporting, and developing test methods for sterilization of medical devices and biocompatibility testing is preferred
• Experience with pro-longed contact and permanent implantable devices is preferred
