Dexter Magnetic Technologies is seeking a Quality Inspector Tech to ensure quality standards and specifications are met in the manufacturing process. The position involves leading inspections, utilizing precision measuring instruments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns.
Requirements
- Lead the inspection of products and components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to perform detailed inspections.
- Operate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), including proficiency with MCOSMOS and/or CALYPSO software.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and other relevant quality management systems.
- Perform first article inspections, non-conformance reporting, and in-process audits, driving continuous improvement in quality processes.
- Provide mentorship and training to entry level inspectors, ensuring alignment with quality standards and best practices.
- Enforce detailed documentation procedures to ensure inspection results and reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with internal and external requirements.
- Develop programs for vision systems and CMM's with fixturing and setup photos with approval of the lead technician.
- Maintain calibration records of reference checks on all critical automated equipment in conjunction with the Calibration technician
- Maintain measurement systems analysis with Quality engineering and lead technician
- Maintain the program matrix for all automated equipment with lead technician
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain, to resolve quality issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert for AS9102 and Net-Inspect FAI reporting, driving the implementation and best practices in inspection documentation.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment while practicing 5S methodologies.
- Supporting other QC Inspectors with basic inspection tasks as needed and assigned.
- Performing additional duties as assigned to support quality initiatives.
